The Masks

West Virginia

Name: Helo M

City: Redmond

Brain Injury: Surgical removal of a rare tumor lying over the main carotid artery in my brain

Explanation of Mask: The color grey represents my fear unleashed after brain tumor diagnosis. The while symbolizes the HOPE I have found. Silver, depicts the silver lining amidst adversity. The tear is a reminder that God captures tears of sorrow and joy. The cross represents my faith in the one who sustains. The word Eagle comes from Isaiah 40:13, “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk, and not be faint.” I placed a photo of me on life support, as well as a photo of me after my battle was conquered. Finally, I included the cover of my award winning book, Halo Found hope. My passion is to inspire others to find hope and by the grace of God- never quit!
