Brain Injury: Overdosed on heroin when I was 21. I was with my friends who also had some heroin. I had an overdose by accident. It happened on my 21^st birthday and my friend laughed at me when I overdosed. It was my first time taking heroin.

Explanation of Mask: I wanted to split the mask in half to show before/during my brain injury, how I felt compared to now. Some feelings cross over including memory loss and anger towards the friend that was there at the time. I used to feel a lot of hatred and confusion, but now I’m happy. I love life and feel loved by my family and friends. I chose colors to match my feelings. I feel awesome!
