Explanation of Mask: ​I had a seizure, I had an infection in my ovaries. A teratoma…that’s what its called. It traveled to my brain. It took some time but I have gotten better with great help, my strength, and great support from my family. I’ve made this mask to represent my pain and my struggle. The blue is my daughter’s favorite color, its on the right side of my brain. It shows how much I miss her. It takes up a lot of my brain while I recover and go through this healing process. The red sprinkles are a thought of my son. The purple was my mom’s favorite color. I’ve accepted my diagnosis and I will not allow it to affect my daily life. I hope you have enjoyed reading my story.
