City: Fargo

Brain Injury: I was beaten by my husband the last 3-4 years of my marriage.
It was like routine every week until I had the strength to take my three children and run to the shelter. He even knocked me out one time.

Explanation of Mask:
I am broken. My life and mask show it. It started when I was still at home.
The green represents my belief in God. In fact, since I was 13 years old. He really pulled me through when I couldn’t. I believe to this day.
The orange is my brokenness.
The yellow is my mental illness and all I have been through.
I am a survivor in the beauty of the mask!
