Brain Injury:  Horse Riding Accident

Explanation of Mask:  My name is Kathryn, but I also like to go by Kat. I love being outside and going horseback riding. I have been at the Neurorestorative day center for seven years and I am very pleased with how far I have come as I now stay in an independent living community. I can cook, eat, and live freely on my own. I acquired my brain injury in 2011 when I was abruptly thrown 30 feet while horseback riding with my friends. I decided to split my mask in half to show that I have had two brain injuries. I used the pink and purple paint to do so because they are my favorite colors.
