Brain Injury:  Domestic Abuse Incident

Explanation of Mask: My name is Kimberly, I’m from Baltimore, and I have an 11 year old daughter who I love very much.  I am a victim of domestic abuse, and was thrown down the stairs, causing my brain injury. Sometimes, I get upset about my injury because it keeps me away from my daughter so much. To keep myself busy, I have worked at Neurorestorative for the last four years. I am responsible for completing housekeeping jobs including cleaning and painting. While painting my mask, I chose to use pink paint and feathers for one side to represent me being bright and happy. The other part of the mask is blue and plain to show how I sometimes feel hopeless and sad.
