Brain Injury: Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (Stroke)

Explanation of Mask: I had a stroke on January 28, 2016.  I don’t remember much of the week or two before or a couple of weeks after.  I woke up a couple of days later in the Neuro ICU. There were no warnings.

Emotions Initially:

• Confused
• Frustrated
• Isolated
• Abandoned
• Lonely
• Grouchy
• Different

Emotions Recently:

• Strong
• Optimistic
• Gracious
• Hopeful
• Peaceful

It is so hard to express and depict this journey I’m on.  I just try to keep it all in perspective.  I am alive.
